The Retaks Expression Tour kick off at Extreme Thing 2010 will be the Third annual “Retaks Battle of the Shops” NOW the Retaks "LOCAL RIPPER" Mini Ramp Skateboard Competition.
NEW to the Expressions Tour is the addition of our own RETAKS CONCERT STAGE! The stage and ramp are basically conected! Currently here are the live bands performing on our stage (in no particular order) Avery Watts (LA), Parker Theory (SD), Guilty by Association (LV), Battle Born (LV), Ministry of Love (LV).
AM’s and amateurs are invited to compete. You don’t have to be on the shop’s team. Any participating skater can sign up at any of the participating business' and if that competitor who signed up at your shop wins, your shop gets the credit and will receive the "Extreme Thing - RETAKS - Battle of the Shops" Trophy to display in your shop for the year, and YOU get the title of the 2010 RETAKS LOCAL RIPPER & CASH!.
Contest: Limited to the top 25-30 qulifying competitors.
Qualifying events: Announced March 1, 2010
Pre Qualified: Top 3-4 from each age group from the 2009 event are prequalified and will be invited to compete.
Entry fee: Top 25-30 qualifiers entry fee is $20 which includes "one" general admission to the event, plus a competitor wristbands for the Retaks Competition, and a Retaks Competitor gift bag. Minors under the age of 18 will be allowed 1 parent or guardian pass as they will be required to sign off on a liability waiver on site prior to competition beginning.

Format: There will not be any age or AM – amateur classifications. Everyone will battle against each other. We will have 5 individual run session to get to the top 5. The top five will be judged based on scores. The skaters will be judged solely on their 4+- min individual run.
Practice: Open jam practice in the morning until the first Retaks Concert Band starts. Then each 5 competitors will have a 20+- min practice jam session before their individual runs. Then the same for each 5 competitors.
Judges: 3 independent, or pro skateboarders.
